Finding comfortable and properly fitting shoes is a frustrating search, but these have fit very well on my wide feet. The front outer leather on the shoe did develop a hole early on after purchasing these at a retail store. There is an inner material that holds them together, like an innner fabric shoe to match the outer leather. I assume the hole was a defect in the leather used when manufacturing this particular pair of shoes. I still do have my doubts on the material quality though, so buyer beware. I only took one rating star off for poor materials, because I need to give the company extra rating credit for a shoe that actually fits comfortably. I use(d) these as my daily work shoes. I have other shoe brands to wear, but I prefer the 621s for comfort, even with the gaping hole in the leather. I am shoe shopping here on amazon due to the hole getting much larger after a few months of daily wear. I’d try another pair, but only if they were on sale.

Since Nike bought Converse the have altered the shoe. There used to be an extra piece of stitched canvas on the inner part just below the big toe and stitching through the back heal of the canvas. The show is basically the same, except without this extra stitching and canvas they do not last as long.

Don’t usually shop on-line for footwear. This was worth the risk. Excellent quality materials (leather), workmanship, fit. Great shoes for work and all around. My wife has a difficult foot to fit, and these shoes were no problem.
