Customer Review: lack of luster
Having owned previously other Adidas Trail Response shoes (10, 11), had some high expectations of this product. Instead, I was left disappointed. There are plenty of other shoes to use for trail running, and I think the competition now has better and better products. While the shoe still has excellent shock absorbing and thread, there is something about it that leaves me disappointed. The lacing system is weak: pulling the laces doesn’t make the shoe feel snug, as the laces recoil leaving slack (one has to hold tight the laces in one place to pull the next place up). There is a feeling of stuffiness. The inside padding along the heel and ankle is stuffy and hot. The area above the toes is also stuffy and hot. For lacing systems, I adore the system that are in Lafuma trail running shoes, and like the one found in the Salomon trail running shoes (in these two brands, the foot really feels snug, almost like a wool sock). With the TR14, putting them on, I just didn’t feel like “lets go running”. The irony is that I didn’t buy them even with a 30% coupon at hand.
